On 13 October 2026, German Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation (DSIK) hosted an ESG Training of Trainers session at its Moldova office in Chișinău, bringing together a group of trainers from across the Republic of Moldova.
Led by Vladislav Naumov, an expert from German Sparkassenstiftung, the session focused on the practical application of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles in business operations. Participants explored how ESG practices can help micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) strengthen their resilience, identify risks at an early stage, improve operational efficiency, and pursue sustainable growth.
The Training of Trainers approach aims to multiply this knowledge nationwide by equipping local trainers with practical tools and methodologies that they can share with MSMEs. The programme also emphasizes actionable steps that businesses can take over a 90-day period to start integrating ESG principles into their daily operations.
Through this initiative, German Sparkassenstiftung supports the development of practical ESG expertise in Moldova, helping local businesses adapt to changing economic conditions and build more resilient and sustainable operations.
The session was organized by German Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), as part of German Cooperation's engagement in the Republic of Moldova.
