On 9 June 2026, the Regional Development Agency Chisinau (RDA Chisinau) and German Sparkassenstiftung Moldova (GSM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), laying the foundation for future cooperation between the two organizations.

The MoU outlines several areas of collaboration, including GSM’s support in strengthening the institutional capacities of RDA Chisinau, cooperation in training and educational initiatives, as well as the provision of business advisory services to beneficiaries of both organizations.

The first joint activity under the newly signed MoU will be carried out within the framework of the Energy Efficiency Project where GSM is subcontracted by GIZ. Through this collaboration, RDA Chisinau and GSM will organize training sessions for Homeowners’ Associations and building administrators, providing knowledge and practical skills needed to apply for grant funding. These grants will help to improve the living conditions and support the implementation of energy-efficiency measures in residential buildings.

Both partners are committed to establish a stable and sustainable partnership, based on the objectives and principles set out in the MoU.
