From January 27-31, German Sparkassenstiftung Moldova organised a Training of Trainers (ToT) for the Business Game “Climate Resilience Management”. The event brought together 25 participants from 6 countries - Georgia, Turkey, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova, and Germany. The participants are trainers and other experts, who work with or for DSIK. The ToT was held at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM). The event was opened with a brief welcome speech from Prof. Alexandru Stratan, the Rector of ASEM.
The training was led by master trainers Susanne Schuster and Max Hofmann. CRM Game is dedicated to support increasing the resilience of agricultural businesses to negative impacts of the climate change, by promoting a change of habits and behaviour. The targeted application of basic risk management techniques, the introduction of innovative adaptation solutions, and the utilisation of suitable financial instruments contributed to an increase of adaptive capacities of businesses and of an active mitigation of operational risks. The CRM Game presents very clear Technical Assistance core competences and capabilities of DSIK.
Participants acquired the following skills during the ToT:
- Managing the board-based Business Game and its contents for different target groups.
- Facilitating the CRM Game by application of the unique “Do-Reflect-Apply” approach for interactive training
- Experiencing different teaching methods and styles and preparation of exercises for different, also more experienced, target groups
- Effective time and event management
- Monitoring and evaluating of implemented Business Games and events.
At the end of the ToT, participants received Certificates of Participation, which provide the opportunity to continue their qualification and skills development through a period of practical application and implementation of the CRM Game. This will be organised, coordinated, and supported by GSM in the coming months.
