After a short but fruitful preparation phase the German Sparkassenstiftung Moldova (GSM) signed a MoU with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, on 23^rd March 2022. The MoU provides the base for future cooperation, which includes under others GSM support to CCI capacity strengthening, cooperation in the area of training and education, especially in rural areas and in the agriculture sector, and business advisory services provided to CCI members and GSM project target group. The transfer and improvement of financial and business literacy, sustainable agricultural practices, as well as climate change adaptation and mitigation are in the focus of the cooperation. The cooperation between CCI and GSM has the purpose to improve the target group’s access to fair, transparent, and demand driven financing and financial services. Both partners intend to enter a stable and long-term partnership on the base of the MoU.
