DSIK has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAFI) of the Republic of Moldova. The MoU was signed as part of the BMZ-funded project “Social-ecological transformation of rural areas by improving financial access for climate-adaptive measures in the Republic of Moldova”.
As part of the cooperation, the DSIK project provides active support for the qualification and modernisation of agriculture, especially of agricultural MSMEs. In this context, the DSIK project also supports the Agricultural Subsidy Payment Agency (AIPA) by actively contributing to its modernisation and digitalisation.
In addition to the development and implementation of a sector-oriented training programme, an IT-supported, geo-location-based system for advising and supporting farmers was developed and introduced in cooperation with the partner HELVETAS (Switzerland). This system (Farm Management Toolbox) provides reliable information on
- transforming conditions due to climate change,
- agricultural activities (what-when-how-much), and
- economic and financial aspects of farming.
The BMZ-funded DSIK project also makes an important, active, and recognised contribution to the preparation of the agricultural sector for EU Accession of the Republic of Moldova.
